HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TRADER

I've spent many hours and and a great deal of energy bringing together this incredible team of teachers. Here are some thoughts that we all agree on.

WE'VE HAD TO STRUGGLE A GREAT DEAL TO EVENTUALLY SUCCEED

Successful trading is about learning to deal with failure. That's a psychological and emotional issue that you're going to have to contend with for your entire career. Not addressing it creates a blind spot.

You should anticpate losing with greater frequency than winning. If you have a thing about needing to be "right" all the time, trading is not for you.

Your goal should be to make gains over losses over a finite period of time that provides you a balanced lifestyle. Working 90 hour workweeks is not sustainable.

Spending all day in front of your computer starging at charts
will neither make you lose less frequently, nor lose smaller amounts of capital, nor give you more control over the markets.

The best you can do is have an ethos you can replicate. You cannot harvest cash from the markets just because you have a system or know how to read a chart. You must become comfortable with probabilities and expected values.

You should view the market as the most cagey person you've ever met. It will say one thing and do another. It will be unreliable. It will seem to make you promises and break them. It will cheat on you. It will talk behind your back. It will agree to meet you at a certain time and place and then never show up. Get used to it.

All trading systems look good on paper. You need to have the right psychology in order to both deploy them and stick with them...and you won't know that until you begin putting capital at risk.

TEACHING FOR SEVERAL DECADES

Each of our teachers have several decades of teaching and trading experience. We've lived through all sorts of markets, panics, and manias.
We studied how trader psychology and emotions run through every type of trader - discretionary and systematic. Everyone runs an emotional system. Hopefully, you are in tune with yours.

WE'VE TRIED SEVERAL STRATEGIES TO FIND OUR BEST FIT

Your financial needs will change over time, and so will your temperament. The traders featured in Market Wizards don't trade the same way today as depicted in the book. Some don't trade at all. Some system traders are now 100% discretionary. You'll find that compatibility between yourself and your rules will need to be congruent and they will, like the markets, converge and diverge from one another over time.

OUR TRADING COURSES - YOUR TRADER EDUCATION

Except for the Mastermind, our courses are streamed via your smartphone, tablet, or desktop. You can work at your own pace and your own schedule. They are designed to accelerate your understanding by giving you the context and wisdom that come with decades of experience that most other teachers do not have and will not attain.

Our goal is to shorten your learning curve and ultimately save you years of time and thousands of dollars. We don't include "filler" or "fluff" in our material. Our courses are rich and pithy and full of hard-earned lessons.

All of our course are designed to teach you what to know and what you're likely to experience psychologically so that you can simultaneously work on your trading tactics and trader psychology.
There are always two payoffs to a trade: the financial and emotional, for both winning and losing trades.

Time and time again, we see that our teaching style is the best methodology for helping traders ascertain compatibility between the person and the system. That compatibility is mandatory for long-term trading success.
